Adolescent Counselling & Support

The Adolescent Case Manager provides case work, support and counselling to young people and their families who are connected with the Cumberland LGA and surrounding areas.

Young people often need support with the challenges they face as they grow up. This may include decisions about relationships, education and employment, use of free-time and general health matters.

Families continue to play a major part in their lives and the Adolescent Case Manager often works with families to help them improve communication with each other.   The service is provided confidentially and referrals are available for specialist needs.

The Adolescent Case Manager also designs and delivers group work programs addressing social, personal, developmental and mental health needs and issues affecting young people.  These are typically run through schools, youth centres and other partner services.

This service is available to young people between 12-24 years of age and their families, who live and/or go to school in the Cumberland Council area or check your suburb on the Cumberland Council Map.)
